It's starting to get a lot more awkward around everyone in the lunch room who doesn't know about this blog. There is always those one-two coworkers who seem to be in the lunch room every second of the day. No one knows what they are doing in the kitchen, but we guess they are either hiding from their work or can't step two feet away from the coffee machine without shaking uncontrollably, thus staying put and watching us creep around all the desserts to get a picture.
Raspberry Jelly-filled Powdered Doughnut
As (almost) every Tuesday, today was doughnut day. The boxed doughnuts looked the same as always, with half-mauled chocolate covered ones and bear-claws cut in half. When we went down to get a picture today, though, 10 people were sitting around the doughnut table. So we had to grab one and act like we were eating it. This, however, inevitably led to us actually eating the doughnut.
Unfortunately, taking pieces of deserts to snap a picture led to us eating bites of everything today. We really need to figure out a new system for this because if this keeps happening work is going to make us fat.
CCL's Shortbread
I don't get shortbread. It's just hard, crumbly sugar cake.
When we went to the kitchen at lunch time we had a nice surprise awaiting:
Four-layer Chocolate Cake
Again, we had to pretend to get a slice so we could capture this image for all you lovely fans. (The things we do for you.) Because about 12 people were staring at us we slivered off a tiny piece. "What are you doing, shaving it?" a co-worker asked, confused. "umm... well, we already had a doughnut today," we respond, and ran away.
Then we ate the cake sliver, and it was delicious.
We are creeps.
